MGM Resorts International Chairman Jim Murren, his wife and the resort's PAC maxed out to the state Democratic Party's federal account last month, records show.
Jim and Heather Murren gave $10,000 each and the MGM PAC gave $5,000 to the party, which has $384,000 on hand. (The state GOP has yet to file, but my guess is the cash on hand is close to zero.)
Jim Murren has long tilted toward the Democrats and even did an ad for Democrat Numero Uno Harry Reid in 2010.
This report also does not refelect what the party's state account has taken in. Those disclosures don't have to be made until next month.
