"It's right in the Bible that God hates homosexuals"
Sometimes "Ralston Reports" viewers make me laugh; sometimes they make me cry. "For you to sit there and entertain the idea of gay marriage, I've lost all respect for you. I thought you were an upbeat person that had common sense and morals and ethics and principles...That shouldn't even be a topic on your show. I'd never even entertain that. That would be like, you know, media suicide or something. Anyways, have a great day." Listen to the attached for the full 1:30 rant.. Look upon these works, ye mighty....
Lowden on Citizen Outreach poll: My supporters are testing the waters
Citizen Outreach, run by two past supporters of Sue Lowden, recently commissioned a ridiculous "poll" for lietuenant governor, which only the "newspaper" took seriously.
Angle tests water for run in 2014 or 2016
I spoke too soon. I pointed out today on Twitter that ex-2010 Senate disaster Sharron Angle had terminated her campaign committee, suggesting a mournful valedictory was in order. But no. On her website, the woman who once told Harry Reid to "man up" wants your opinion. She's taking a poll on what she should do next: ►In 2016 run against Harry Reid ►In 2014 run for Congress (1/4 NV seats)
NV Energy bundles a bunch of dough to Heller
We already knew that the state's power monopoly was in thrall to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who made the utility give up on coal and was the shadow sponsor of a juicy legislative bill. But if the junior senator's latest campaign contribution disclosure is any indication, Dean Heller is just as NV Energy-friendly now as the majority leader. If friendship can be bought, that is.
"Newspaper" reports congressman explodes at reporter, then deletes reference
UPDATE: Five hours after I posted this, the "newspaper" did this. Interesting. ---- Even for the "newspaper," where journalistic standards are an oxymoron, this is a new nadir.

Key senator straddles fence on margins tax
In my quixotic quest to pin down Democratic lawmakers on the margins tax they ignored during Session '13, my latest challenge was Justin Jones, whose Senate seat may hold the key to upper house control.
Landslide: Site readers say Reid is the one on the ropes
Was there ever a question? Time to come clean, senator.
State to Joint Commission: You recommended accreditation of Rawson-Neal on one survey but not the other
After visiting the embattled Rawson-Neal psychiatric facility in May and June, the Joint Commission recommended accreditation for the troubled facility, according to a letter from state officials to the non-profit outfit.
Erquiaga still the favorite for state supe
I said from the beginning that Dale Erquiaga, who has been a close adviser to secretaries of state and governors, was the favorite to become the next state superintendent as soon as he applied. Erquiaga, unlike the cashiered James Guthrie, would be sure to carry out Gov. Brian Sandoval's agenda. They go way back, and Erquiaga was a key cog in the first half of Gov. Sunny's first term.
