In for Nevada Senate against anointed choice Catherine Cortez Masto? Kamikaze mission, an up-or-out move or a feint? You judge -- this just went out:
Dear XXXX,
I want to thank all of you who have been so supportive of me and my campaigns over the years. Your friendship and partnership have meant the world to me.
As many of you know, I have been giving a lot of thought to whether or not I should run for the US Senate seat being vacated by Senator Reid. I am encouraged and humbled by the positive outpouring of support I have received. Of course, this is not a decision that I will come to lightly, and certainly not without your input, but I promise you a decision will be coming soon.
I love representing District One and I have worked hard every day to ensure our constituents get the help they need and have the voice they deserve. Not only are we taking care of our constituents, but we’re seeing jobs and opportunity created every day. And while I am proud of my track record in Congress and here at home, there is still a lot of work to be done. We must continue to fight to be sure hard-working Nevadans get ahead and stay ahead; that means passing immigration reform, taking care of our veterans, supporting small businesses, and protecting social security.
So thank you again for all that you do and for your continued support as I weigh my options.
