Democratic attorneys generals group prepares NV-based funding effort
The wave of outside spending in Nevada's attorney general's race began last year when the State Government Leadership Foundation began an effort to tarnish Secretary of State Ross Miller. The group has set up a website and ran hundreds of thousands of dollars in ads this year.
Rasmussen: Sandoval, 55 percent; Goodman, 28 percent
Gov. Brian Sandoval leads Democrat Bob Goodman by 27 percentage points, according to a Rasmussen Reports survey. Hey, it's Rasmussen, which notoriously tilts Republican, so maybe Goodman actually is closer, and, and, and.... Oh, nevermind. Bob Goodman, by the way, remains in Asia. First ad of general election: Flores goes up in Spanish during World Cup games
In the race for governor-in-waiting, Lucy Flores is going up first, with an ad running during World Cup games, including twice during US-Germany later this week.
MY COLUMN: Remembering Jim Rogers
“Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.” Jim Rogers said that a lot. He thought much of what he heard was nonsense. He had no patience for it. Come to think of it, he had no patience for…..anything. Rogers, the media kingpin and education advocate who died last week, invited clichés: Force of nature. Man of action. Eccentric rich guy.
