Democratic pollster: Miller up 8 on Laxalt; SOS race very close
Secretary of State Ross Miller has an 8 percentage point lead on Adam Laxalt in the race for attorney general while Treasurer Kate Marshall has a 2 percentage point lead, well within the margin of error, over state Sen. Barbara Cegasvke in the contest for secretary of state.
Flores goes up in LG's race
The Lucy Flores ad below starts in Reno on Thursday, statewide Monday. She needs the name ID up North. It's the subject most on people's minds --- education. As positive ads go, it's one of the better ones I've seen. (I might have had her say her name, though.)
Three anti-margin tax ads start Wednesday
In a buy expected to be about a million dollars, the Coalition to Defeat the Margin Tax Initiative will begin airing three ads Wednesday. Polls indicate The Education Initiative, or Question 3 on the ballot, is winning. This could change that. A tax on unprofitable companies. The money not guaranteed to go to education. Economic studies that show job losses. Simple messages from regular folks, including a small businesswoman and a farmer. Pretty good stuff.
National group forms PAC in Nevada to help Marshall for SOS
A group dedicated to helping anti-voter ID candidates has formed a political action committee in Nevada, a clear attempt to help Democratic secretary of state hopeful Kate Marshall.
Campaign to pass appeals court begins

State Democrats go up with "train wreck" ad
UPDATED: The Republican Attorneys General Association has reacted to the new ad with a huge buy that starts Tuesday and lasts a month. I bet it's not positive. Ever since news broke of a law firm evaluation that called AG hopeful Adam Laxalt a "train wreck," you knew it would be a focal point of the Democrats' ad campaign.
