Reality Check: A "B" for the latest from Crossroads GPS on Rep. Steven Horsford

The Assembly nightmare that could happen
Imagine a legislative session that can’t even get started because leadership is in limbo and not all legislators are deemed to be…legislators. This is not a fevered pundit’s imagination. And while the election isn’t over yet, the possibilities are, alas, virtually endless.
Ready for Hillary ready for Nevada
The precursor to Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign in THE MOST IMPORTANT STATE IN THE NATION has filed as a political action committee in Nevada. The filing last week comes as Ready for Hillary staffers have been trying help Democrats this cycle here and elsewhere. The group has tabbed veteran operative Megan Jones, a former Harry Reid aide, as its local agent. The goal: "To accept contributions and make expenditures supporting or opposing Nevada candidates." Uh huh.
The cab money floweth
As Uber starts to meet roadblocks in the Luddite, incestuous backwater known as Nevada, it's worth noting how much money the cab companies have spread around this cycle: $750,000. More than half of that came from one company, Frias, and its ex-principal, Mark James, who gave $55,000 on his own, including $10,000 to sheriff's candidate Joe Lombardo. My guess is the industry will have given seven figures by the time Session '15 convenes in February.

MY COLUMN: The LG's race was one huge flop
The lieutenant governor’s race has been the big disappointment of the general election season. Buoyed by the name recognition he received in his spirited primary with Sue Lowden and possessing a huge financial advantage, GOP state Sen. Mark Hutchison has run a “No Apologies” general election. Hutchison regularly says he “won’t apologize” for living the American Dream or for being supported by Gov. Brian Sandoval.

Bubba to the rescue
If you're down on your turnout and you need a helping hand (is that James Taylor I hear), who do you call if you need a friend? Not Barack Obama this year. Bill Clinton. And I'm told the one-man Democratic turnout machine will be in Southern Nevada next week to try to juice Democratic turnout that so far has been abysmal. Clinton could help all Democrats, but my guess is this is especially targted at Rep.Steven Horsford, who needs minority voters to get energized in a district once thought safe. #wematter Â
Poll: Hutchison, Miller have sizable leads, Marshall-Cegavske closer
Republican lieutenant governor hopeful Mark Hutchison and Democratic attorney general candidate Ross Miller have double-digit leads, according to a new poll. The survey also indicated that Treasurer Kate Marshall is ahead of state Sen. Barbara Cegavske, but many voters remain undecided. Oh, and this is exclusive: Gov. Brian Sandoval is going to win.
